What and Where are the Resource Files?

Download an individual file: from Online resource files
from local copy if using CD version

Download all resource files: resources-presentations.zip OR  resources-presentations.exe

When the lessons refer to resource files, it means the files that you need to create the documents in the projects. These are provided for download in a zip file or in a self-extracting exe file or you can download them individually as you need them. Ask your instructor if these files are already on your computer and, if so, where.

Download Instructions:

One at a time: Click the link to View list of files. A list of files in the presentations resources folder appears in your browser.Left click Click the file you need. The File Download dialog appears. Choose Save and select a convenient location on your hard disk to save the file.

All at once:
To get all of these resource files, Left click click on the zip or exe link at top of this page to download either a zipped set of files (if you have WinZip or similar software for the PC) or a self-extracting file which will extract the compressed files for you.

A download dialog will appear. Choose "Save this program to a disk." Choose a folder on your hard drive for the file to be downloaded into.

After the file is downloaded, you need to extract the compressed files. If you downloaded the zip version, use your WinZip or similar program to do this. If you downloaded the exe version, find the file in an Explorer or My Computer window and then double-click on it, resources-presentations.exe.

By default, the uncompressed files will be put in c:\My Documents\complit101\presentations\. Of course you can choose a different location if you wish. Just be sure to remember where you put the files.

The resource files that are Office documents are in Office 95 formats so that students using versions from 95 and later can use the same files. You can save the documents that you create or edit in whichever file format suits your software.
